Trouble

This two year old Grizzly an be dangerous. This bear has just left its' mother and is learning the rules. I was in Glacier National Park 20 years ago when a bear like this killed two campers in their tent.

This female Grizzly shakes the water out of her hair after bathing in a small stream in Yellowstone. This bear was killed by being hit by a vehicle in Yellowstone a year or so later.

This grizzly has a radio collar that looks very tight. It seems impossible for biologists to study an animal anymore without hanging one of these uncomfortable and ugly devices around its' neck.

A BIG Grizzly makes his way accross a Lamar Valley meadow. There are a lot of bison in the Lamar Valley. Sometimes they chase grizzlies,sometimes they just ignore them. The sight of this Grizzly causes them to stampede.

This big grizzly can run 35 miles per hour. At a distance of 100 yards, that means you have less than ten seconds to climb a tree if he charges.
